The Certain Guilt of an Innocent Man

The Certain Guilt of an Innocent Man

When recently qualified archaeologist Gideon Muntari returns to West Africa after studying in England, he finds he cannot stand by while the vicious military dictator plunders the nation’s resources and tortures his countrymen. He joins a group of disaffected colonels in an attempted coup, but they are betrayed.

The Certain Guilt of an Innocent Man is the story of a modern African committed to the creation of a new order, whatever the sacrifice.

A really interesting read with great characters, I really enjoyed it.

An excellent debut novel.
Howard has created a fast paced story which combines the character building of Graham Greene with the action thrillers of Frederick Forsyth.

This book sucked me in to what it may well be like living in the aftermath of coup. Its a page turner and would make a great film.
